The short version

You call Bubbe and tell her about yourself. We record and transcribe those calls and use them, along with your sign-up answers, to understand who you are and find you compatible introductions. That's the product. We don't sell your data, we don't share your calls or transcripts with anyone, and we don't use your information for advertising.

What we collect

• Sign-up information: name, phone number, age, location, height, and your preferences (who you're looking for, Jewish background, relationship goals, and similar).
• Call recordings and transcripts: your conversations with Bubbe are recorded and transcribed. Bubbe tells you this at the start of every call.
• Photos and identity verification: the photos you upload, plus a quick live selfie used to confirm you are the person in those photos. The selfie liveness check is handled by our verification provider; we keep your profile photos to show approved matches.
• Messages: texts between you and Bubbe, including your responses to proposed introductions.

How we use it

• To build your private matching profile from your calls and sign-up answers.
• To evaluate potential matches between you and other verified members.
• To propose introductions: if both sides approve, we share with your match only what an introduction requires: your first name, photo, and brief context. Never your phone number (until you choose to share it yourself), never your calls, never your transcripts.
• To text you about verification, introductions, and your conversations with Bubbe.

What we never do

• Sell your personal information. To anyone. Ever.
• Share your call recordings or transcripts with third parties or other members.
• Use your data for third-party advertising.
• Send an introduction without your explicit approval.

Service providers

We use a small number of vendors to operate the service, such as telephony and messaging infrastructure, identity verification, and cloud hosting. They process data only on our behalf and under contract, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Texting and opting out

By texting Bubbe or signing up, you consent to receive text messages from Bubbe, including automated messages, about your sign-up, verification, introductions, and conversations. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts pauses your participation, since introductions happen over text.

We do not sell or share your mobile information, phone number, or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is used only to operate Bubbe's matchmaking service.

Your choices

• Delete: you can ask us to delete your account, calls, and transcripts at any time by texting Bubbe or emailing us.
• Pause: tell Bubbe you want a break, and matching stops until you say otherwise.

Data retention and security

We keep your data while your account is active and delete or anonymize it after deletion requests, subject to legal requirements. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Age

Bubbe is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
